OSTON UNIVERSITY SENIOR Christian CarsonBanister remembers his freshman year, which also was
the program's first year. He has mixed memories of
that 2-12 season.
"A lot of us, in the beginning, we were in awe,"
he said. "Our third game, we're playing Lehigh. You
watched these guys in high school. (Lehigh goalie) Matt
Poillon was my favorite to watch. Playing against him

"It was also extremely difficult," he added. "A lot of our players come from
these high school programs where they're not accustomed to losing. It's obviously not something you like and enjoy. Each week you're grinding out there.
You go out Saturday and don't get the result you want.
"Our coaches did a fantastic job. Our captains did a great job. Getting that
win against Lafayette will be a highlight for the seniors. It was a process to get
the program started. To play Duke and Miles Jones that first year was unbelievable, but it was unsatisfying because you want to win."
In 2017, things are going much better for Carson-Banister - and the Terriers.
